# Choosing a Damage Dealer

Every class in Entropia has its own strengths and can successfully complete PvE content. The best choice therefore depends on whether you prefer high boss damage, AoE farming, ranged combat, hybrid gameplay, or tanking.

The ranking below mainly represents **1-on-1 PvE damage with comparable equipment**. It does not measure farming speed, tanking, support, or general usefulness, and may change with future balance updates.

## Current PvE Meta

<table data-search="false"><thead><tr><th>Rank</th><th>Class</th><th>Class Overview</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>1</td><td><a href="/before-starting/choosing-a-damage-dealer/slayer.md"><strong>Slayer</strong></a></td><td>The strongest pure single-target damage dealer and an excellent choice for boss fights. Its weaknesses are low survivability, limited AoE damage, poor farming efficiency, and no support abilities.</td></tr><tr><td>2</td><td><a href="/before-starting/choosing-a-damage-dealer/harlequin.md"><strong>Harlequin</strong></a></td><td>Offers excellent 1-on-1 damage and decent AoE potential through its Cleave effect. Despite this, it is not particularly efficient for farming, similar to the Slayer.</td></tr><tr><td>3</td><td><a href="/before-starting/choosing-a-damage-dealer/mentalist.md"><strong>Mentalist</strong></a></td><td>A powerful magic damage dealer with strong single-target damage, useful boss debuffs, and decent AoE attacks. Its high damage is balanced by low base HP.</td></tr><tr><td>4</td><td><a href="/before-starting/choosing-a-damage-dealer/force-master.md"><strong>Force Master</strong></a></td><td>A versatile melee hybrid with solid damage, high HP, and useful party buffs and debuffs. It performs well in many situations but is less specialized than pure damage classes.</td></tr><tr><td>5</td><td><a href="/before-starting/choosing-a-damage-dealer/crackshooter.md"><strong>Crackshooter</strong></a></td><td>A ranged damage dealer with excellent mobility, good farming potential, and respectable AoE damage. It trades some raw boss damage for range, safety, and convenience.</td></tr><tr><td>6</td><td><a href="/before-starting/choosing-a-damage-dealer/seraph.md"><strong>Seraph</strong></a></td><td>The Seraph is a versatile class that combines single-target damage, strong AoE attacks, useful support skills and solid survivability. Its ability to adapt to different situations makes it valuable in both solo and party content.</td></tr><tr><td>7</td><td><a href="/before-starting/choosing-a-damage-dealer/templar.md"><strong>Templar</strong></a></td><td>The Templar is a durable melee class with high base HP, strong armor and reliable self-sustain. It can withstand heavy attacks while still dealing solid single-target damage, making it a dependable choice for solo play and difficult dungeons.</td></tr><tr><td>8</td><td><a href="/before-starting/choosing-a-damage-dealer/arcanist.md"><strong>Arcanist</strong></a></td><td>Specializes in powerful AoE spells and clearing large groups of enemies. Its single-target damage is lower, but it performs extremely well in farming and group content.</td></tr></tbody></table>
