# Download & Register

Create your account through the official website, install the latest client, and let the launcher finish every update before logging in.

## Register an Account

Open the [official Registration page](https://entropia.fun/index.php?site=register) and enter the requested information:

* Account ID
* Nickname
* Password with a **maximum of 12 characters**
* E-mail address
* Birthday
* Security question and answer

Use an e-mail address and recovery information you will still remember later. These details may be required to identify or recover your account. If you want to play several characters at the same time, each active character requires its own account.

After accepting the rules and privacy policy, select **Kheldor** as the Main Server when entering the game.

## Download the Client

Download the current client only from the [official Download page](https://entropia.fun/index.php?site=downloads).

Install the required **Visual C++ Redistributable** and **DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010)** listed on the download page as well.

## Install and Launch

1. Extract the downloaded archive completely with a tool such as 7-Zip or WinRAR.
2. Move the folder to a writable location such as `C:\Games\Entropia`. Do not launch the client from inside the archive or leave it in a restricted Downloads folder.
3. Start `Launcher.exe` and allow it to download every available update.
4. Launch the game and log in with your Account ID and password.

## Antivirus Notice

The protected client executable may occasionally trigger a false-positive antivirus warning. If a file from the official download is quarantined, restore it and add the Entropia folder to your antivirus exceptions before running the launcher again. Never whitelist a client obtained from another player or an unofficial website.
