Shiny to Black
Black Shiny Equipment and Weapons are the next major equipment stage after Shiny. Black Shiny items are created through the Merge System, so you must keep your Shiny Equipment and Weapon.
Before starting the transition, complete the basic Shiny setup from the previous guide: upgrade your Equipment and Weapon to at least +1, add the required piercings and cards, apply an element where needed, and use basic awakenings.
What You Need for Black Shiny Equipment
To create one Black Shiny Equipment part, you need:
The corresponding Shiny Equipment part
A Destroyed Black Shiny Equipment part for the same Slot and Class
A Scroll of Armor Merge or Scroll of Armor Merge (Special)
Destroyed Black Shiny Equipment parts can be obtained from Magma Cave in Kebaria.
"Black Shiny Equipment Boxes" and the required merge scrolls can also be exchanged at [Kebaria Exchanger] Maria. Optionally u can buy Clean Setparts at [Magma Cave Exchanger] Owen, but we don´t recommend that, because u need good Stats on the Set for ur Soulreaver-Sacrifice later in the game.
U can Reroll the Clean Part later, if u want to go this way. The Scrolls are obtainable at [Kebaria Exchanger] Maria.
Farming Magma Cave
Magma Cave contains five minibosses and one final boss. Plan for approximately 1,800,000 HP, moderate damage, and a coordinated team.
Your Team should include:
A tank with the recommended HP and enough self Sustain (Suckblood or Self Heal) to heal between Boss Attacks
A Damage dealer
The dungeon provides Black Shiny Equipment parts and Blood Orbs. Blood Orbs are also required for the Armor Merge Scroll exchanges in Kebaria.
What You Need for a Black Shiny Weapon
To create one Black Shiny Weapon, you need:
Your Shiny Entropia Weapon
A Destroyed Black Shiny Weapon
A Scroll of Weapon Merge
The end boss of Aurania Temple drops "Black Weapon Materials" and can occasionally provide a "Black Shiny Weapon Box". The materials can be exchanged for additional weapon boxes at [Aurania Exchanger] Tina. Optionally u can buy Clean Weapons at [Aurania Exchanger] Lucy, but we don´t recommend that, because u need good Stats on the Weapon for ur Soulreaver-Sacrifice later in the game.
U can Reroll the Clean Weapon later, if u want to go this way. The Scrolls are obtainable at [Aurania Exchanger] Tina.
For Aurania Temple, plan for approximately 1,800,000 HP, strong damage, and a coordinated team.
Choosing the Correct Armor Merge Scroll
There are two different Armor Merge Scrolls:
Scroll of Armor Merge: Your awakenings will be removed during the merge.
Scroll of Armor Merge (Special): Your awakenings will be preserved.
Upgrade levels and inserted cards are preserved. The original bonus stat from the Shiny Equipment part does not transfer to the new Black Shiny item.
If your Shiny Equipment only has basic awakenings, decide whether the more expensive Special Scroll is worthwhile before merging.
Important Weapon Merge Information
The following properties are preserved when merging a Shiny Weapon into a Black Shiny Weapon:
Upgrade level
Inserted cards
Awakenings
The following properties are not preserved:
Inserted Diamonds
Weapon Fusion
Valuable Diamonds can be removed beforehand with Magic Diamonds at [Upgrade Specialist] Bobo Chan by selecting "Remove Jewel from Ultimate Weapon". Otherwise, they will be permanently lost during the merge.
This Magic Diamonds are buyable at [Entropia Chip Merchant] Wafor for 5 ECP.

Merge items are not refunded. Always check the class, equipment slot, bonuses, awakenings, Diamonds, and selected scroll before confirming.
After the Merge
The bonus stat on your Black Shiny Equipment and Weapon is important. These bonuses improve your current damage and HP and remain relevant when progressing to Soulreaver Equipment and the later Soulreaver Sacrifice system.
Black Shiny bonus stats can be rerolled a limited number of times. Do not spend all available attempts without checking which bonuses are useful for your class.
You should eventually upgrade your Black Shiny Equipment and Weapons to +20:
Upgrade Level 1-10: "Shiny Oricalkum" & "Scroll of SProtect(Super)" for Weapons; "Sunstones" & "Scroll of SProtect" for Equipment (Mobdrops and buyable from [Cash Shop] Laura)
Upgrade Level 10-20: "Ultra Sunstones" & "Scrolls of UProtect (Ultra)" (Dungeon-NPC in front of Les Britania & Abyssal Cove)
Reinsert Diamonds and reapply any properties that were lost during the merge.
