Boss Pattern

Royal bosses use visible attack patterns, timed abilities, debuffs and area mechanics. Surviving these mechanics is part of the intended progression and becomes increasingly important in Heroic and endgame dungeons.

Reading a Pattern

Watch for the ability

Watch the floor and the boss animation when an ability begins.

Reposition if needed

Stop attacking if repositioning is required.

Leave marked areas

Move out of marked damage areas before the effect resolves.

Return safely

Return only after the area or debuff has ended.

Follow the current mechanic

Keep the party spread or grouped according to the current mechanic.

Party Responsibilities

• Tank: Keep the boss stable without covering safe areas.

• Damage dealers: Prioritize mechanics over one extra attack.

• Support: Remove debuffs, heal predictable damage and communicate cooldowns.

Movement speed is restricted in Royal dungeons, and resurrection items may be disabled. Mechanics cannot be solved reliably by outrunning them at the last moment.
