# Basics & Key Settings

Before beginning your journey, take a moment to become familiar with the basic controls. You can find the most important client and key settings under **START → OPTIONS.**

Review the available settings and adjust the controls to your preference. Comfortable key bindings make it much easier to navigate, manage your character, and access important systems quickly.

## Useful Basics

* **Get your buffs:** Click the Buff Pang in town or enter `/buff` in the chat. If a Force Master or Seraph from your party is nearby, their available party buffs are also applied.
* **Use the Teleporter:** Press `V` to access cities, leveling areas, farm zones, and dungeons. Read each entry's description to check its recommended level and important drops.
* **Join other players:** Press `L` to find a public party and `CTRL + G` to search for a guild. Parties provide useful EXP benefits, while guilds offer buffs and access to an experienced community.
* **Check unknown items:** Press `CTRL + Z` to open the Item Wiki and search for items, sources, and additional information.
* **Use early Awakenings:** Move your cursor over an equipment item and enter `/awake` or `/awa` to open its Awakening window. Simple positive Main Stat or HP Awakenings are sufficient at the beginning.

You do not need to memorize every shortcut immediately. Start with the Teleporter, Inventory, Item Wiki, Party Finder, and Guildfinder, then learn the remaining controls as you progress.
