# Pet Filter

The Pet Filter controls which dropped items your **pickup pet** collects. The current system supports category filters as well as manual **whitelist** and **blacklist** rules.

## Accessing the Pet Filter

Press **U** to open the Pet Filter window.

You can also access the Pet Filter through the **Item Wiki**. This is useful when you want to add a specific item directly from the game's item database.

## How the Pet Filter Works

The default item categories are enabled automatically. This means that the filter is designed to be used mainly as a **blacklist**: instead of selecting every item you want, you normally only exclude the items your pet should ignore.

| Option        | Function                                                                              |
| ------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Petfilter** | Control larger groups of items that your pet may collect. Here u can turn it ON / OFF |
| **Whitelist** | Explicitly allows selected individual items to be collected.                          |
| **Blacklist** | Prevents selected individual items from being collected.                              |

For most players, the easiest setup is to leave the default categories enabled and add unwanted items to the blacklist.

Keep the default categories enabled unless you want to exclude an entire item group.

Add unwanted individual items to the **blacklist**.

Add important items to the **whitelist** if they are not collected correctly through their category.

Test the setup while farming and adjust individual exceptions when necessary.

## Adding Individual Items

If a category causes an item to be collected when it should not be—or prevents an item from being collected when it should be—you can add that item manually to the appropriate list.

There are two ways to do this:

* **Drag and drop:** Drag the item directly into the relevant list in the Pet Filter window.
* **Item Wiki:** Open the Pet Filter through the Item Wiki and double-click the desired item.

Avoid placing the same item on both lists, as this creates conflicting filter settings.

## Current Item Coverage

The Pet Filter has been expanded to recognize newer dungeon drops.&#x20;

New items may be added or recategorized through future patches. If a newly released item is handled incorrectly, add it manually to the whitelist or blacklist and check the latest patch notes for filter updates.

## Troubleshooting

* **An unwanted item is still collected:** Add the exact item to the blacklist instead of relying only on its category.
* **A wanted item is not collected:** Add the exact item to the whitelist.
* **The pet stops collecting items:** Check whether your inventory has enough free space.
